🔧 Retrofit Procedure Overview

1. Digital Cluster Upgrade

Replace the existing analog or hybrid instrument cluster with the fully digital 12.3” cluster.
Integrate the IC adaptor to ensure CAN bus compatibility.
LVDS cabling connects the cluster to HU5.5 for media and navigation display.

2. HU5.5 Installation

Remove the old NTG unit and install the HU5.5 infotainment head unit.
Ensure proper wiring of LVDS, MOST fiber optic, GPS, and USB channels.
Supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, 3D Navigation, and high-speed media processing.

3. Mouse Controller Upgrade

Install the new facelift touchpad controller with rotary input.
This interfaces directly with the HU5.5, enhancing user input with gesture control and smoother scrolling.

4. 2020 Steering Wheel Integration

The retrofit kit includes the facelift 2020 multifunction steering wheel, offering touch-sensitive controls and a sportier ergonomic feel.
Using the W222 retrofit adaptor, the new steering wheel seamlessly communicates with the original Steering Control Unit (SCU).

5. USB Interface Module

6. Drive Assistant Buttons
